Because it’s a parody game and pokes fun at “dragon quest.” It’s got the dragon head, because it’s supposed to be a dragon and it’s supposed to be a tiger because it’s a parody. It’s called Dragon Tiger because it’s a parody.
Originally called Dragon Quest, this game was released in japan in 1986, and the story was about a young boy named White who is sent on a quest to get the Dragon’s Eye, a legendary item. It also had a phoenix-like dragon, and a tiger, and a leprechaun named Quinella, who helped White. (She’s the one who lures him in with her trap door.)
Dragon Tiger was made by Dragon Quest creator, Yuji Horii, and it was designed and made by Masayuki Doi. Doi is credited with making the game’s characters, monsters, and the graphics. The original idea for Dragon Tiger was actually an older game called dragon tiger game. Yuji Horii liked that game so much, he decided to make another one. He decided to make a parody of Dragon Quest, and that’s what Dragon Tiger is, a parody of Dragon Quest.
Dragon Tiger was first released in japan on july 10, 1986. It was released in the U.S.A. on July 19, 1987. On june 11, 1987 Dragon Tiger was released in the UK.

Dragon Tiger is a parody, and it’s a very good parody. It’s one of the funniest games ever made. When it was first released in the US, it was popular and actually made money. It was a huge hit. The original Dragon Tiger is no longer in print though. The first game made by Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, was Dragon Quest. He made that one for the japanese market in 1984. That game sold very well, and the Dragon Tiger game was even better. It was even better than Dragon Quest.
